We are always interested in speaking to anyone interested in team management and coaching.

 

Football coaches teach skills and tactics to individuals and teams, and motivate them to fulfil their potential. This can be a hugely satisfying experience.

 

We currently have a number of age groups in need team managers, and training assistance. This will allow us to create more teams in age groups, and give our members more game time.

To become a coach, you need to have the following skills and qualities:

• Leadership abilities

• Teaching skills

• Performance tracking skills

• Effective verbal communication skills

• Understanding of teaching methods and curriculum design

• Keen attention to detail

• Proactive mindset

• Ability to motivate and inspire

• Basic proficiency in using computers or handheld devices

As a football coach, your responsibilities include:

• Planning and conducting coaching sessions

• Developing game tactics

• Providing feedback on performance and fitness, and establishing goals

• Advising on nutrition and injury prevention

• Staying current with effective coaching techniques

• Inspiring players to cultivate a positive mindset, confidence, and self-discipline

 

The work setting may involve outdoor activities in various weather conditions, demanding physical exertion, and frequent travel for matches.

To be eligible, you must be at least 16 years old and successfully pass enhanced background checks. Depending on the age groups you engage with, completing the Football Association's Safeguarding Children Course may be required.
